marginalized communities. Activities include mapping microbial diversity across degradation gradients, co-designing pilot conservation practices with local communities, building local capacity through training, and establishing an open data platform to track biodiversity indicators. Expected impacts include improved soil health, increased microbial richness and stability, enhanced agricultural productivity, and reduced reliance on costly inputs. Social outcomes such as improved food security and farmer wellbeing will also be monitored. By connecting microbial biodiversity with practical land management strategies, this project offers a scalable, science-based approach to address the dual environmental and livelihood threats posed by climate change.
