Unique Biodiversity Showcased at Gala Event in Lusaka

JRS was proud to be featured in an event at the Urban Hotel in Lusaka to showcase the unique biodiversity of the Nsumbu-Tanganyika Landscape of northeastern Zambia on September 5.  The gala event was hosted by Frankfurt Zoological Society staff and featured underwater film footage and remarkable photography of the region’s unique biodiversity found in the river habitats and gallery forest.

Jones Kiwala Masonde, Deputy Director of Zambia’s Department of National Parks and Wildlife was among the senior officials and conservation leaders that attended the event.  Remarks centered on the eDNA research findings and new species recorded by FZS in the area, including a previously undescribed striped Cichlid.
