Large village enclave nestled in the East Usambaras. Villages such as this scatter across this mountain range, outside Amani and Nilo Nature Reserves.
In the past, the Usambara Giant Three-horned Chameleon was thought to only be in the East Usambara Mountains. It is now a well known Eastern Arc endemic with ranges in a few other mountains. It is common and well known in the forests around Amani.
Bufo brauni is an endemic toad that is common in the East Usambara Mountains.
