A volunteer member of the Dragonflies and Damselflies of Southern Africa stalks the perfect photo of a dragonfly, streamside. Some species have only recently been discovered, so very little is known about their abundance or distribution. Data generated by photos and dragonfly hunts, such as the Shoot the Dragon events, help fill in gaps on these sentinels of freshwater habitats. (Photo Credit: Lappies)
