JRS grantee Makerere University has integrated key information for 71 species in six bee families of Eastern Africa into a public database with high resolution photographs to provide details about different species. This data is critical to support natural pollination to food production for local stakeholders. In early 2022 a species list of the bee pollinator species in central Uganda will be provided for the National Environment Management Authority of Uganda, for inclusion in the National State of Environment Report.
